Getting that record to market without triggering a copyright dispute introduced me to sample clearance and music licensing. It became the foundation of a 22-year career at one of the world's three major record labels, where I managed clearance matters of every level of complexity, identified samples, and helped clear thousands of recordings by artists including Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Beyoncé, and many more.

Today, my production discography, music supervision work, and deep experience resolving complex rights issues, combined with the software engineering talents of partners from Georgia Tech and Google, provide the fuel to automate clearances — while bridging the creative and business sides of the entertainment industry.
